ABK operates in own Green-IT data centres in Germany. In order to meet the high demands of our customers, ABK relies on the z Systems mainframes from IBM, which are operated with z-Linux. They are particularly characterized by their reliability, scalability and performance. In Switzerland, we have netrics as a strategic partner for the infrastructure.

The digital revolution and the associated increase in energy demand require the intelligent use of modern information and communication technologies. Green IT is the key to more efficiency and sustainability at this point.

ABK uses the energy generated by solar systems to support the power supply of the data centre. As a rule, a large part of the power consumption is accounted for by cooling and ventilating the hardware. Many data centres are still cooled down to approx. 22 degrees Celsius, although modern technologies permit significantly higher temperatures.
